For some cats the allure of being in a forbidden place is not so much about the place itself being special to them, but more so that the place is very public and allows them to metaphorically give the middle finger to our rules. And this cat is a purrfect example of just that kind of behavior. Just look at how aggressively proud he is that he has been seen sitting in the forbidden fruit bowl.

Science is yet to be able to answer this one, but cats have some sort of thing for hiding in Christmas related places. Whether it is the tree, a stocking or a nativity scene they just love hanging out in those spots. We have come to think that it might be a center of attention type thing, where they get used to everyone oogling these things as the holiday season comes around. So next year we need to test this theory but being generally unimpressed with our Christmas decorations and seeing if they still do it…
